Eight Days to Infamy
Eight Days to Infamy runs 5–12 November 2026. Seven daily challenges each carry a custom prize, entries go through Gleam.io by 8:59AM Pacific the next day, entrants must be 18+ with zero AI use, and every winner is announced on the 12 November livestream.
Eight Days to Infamy is Airframe Ultra's launch-week community event. It runs from launch day, Thursday 5 November 2026, through Thursday 12 November 2026, with a new challenge each day, one prize per challenge, and a closing livestream where every winner is announced.
The full schedule and rules come from the official Steam announcement posted on 4 November 2026. Today, 7 November, is Cosplay day — the prize is a motorcycle helmet signed by the team.

The schedule, as published
| Date | Challenge | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| Thu, 5 Nov (launch day) | Fan Art | Wacom Cintiq tablet |
| Fri, 6 Nov | Fan Fiction | Custom neon sign of Airframe Ultra |
| Sat, 7 Nov | Cosplay | Motorcycle helmet with the team's signatures |
| Sun, 8 Nov | Combat Clips | Custom Airframe Ultra controller |
| Mon, 9 Nov | Racing Clips | Custom biker jacket with AFU patches |
| Tue, 10 Nov | In-Game Outfit | 1-of-1 custom art of your character and frame |
| Wed, 11 Nov | Wildcard | Custom AFU PC case and GPU plate |
| Thu, 12 Nov | Celebration livestream | Winners revealed; entries become raffle tickets |
The 11 November wildcard is the permissive one: "Submit literally anything Airframe related, including anything you entered on a previous day."
The rules that decide whether you can enter
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Age | Prizes are only for entrants 18 or older |
| AI use | Zero tolerance — the official FAQ says "do NOT use AI" for the Infamy Awards |
| One entry per day | "Each player can submit one entry per day" |
| Multiple challenges | Allowed; each has its own prize, and every entry is also a raffle ticket |
| Prizes per person | One prize maximum |
| Submission method | Gleam.io, with your file on Google Drive or Dropbox set to public |
| Deadline per challenge | 8:59AM Pacific time the next day |
| Owning the game | Not required — "No purchase necessary" |
| Who judges | Videocult makes the final call |
| Prize delivery | A few weeks after the livestream, because most prizes are custom |
The AI clause is not a soft preference. The 4 November post puts it in the fine print and repeats it in the FAQ: "There is a zero tolerance AI use for the Infamy Awards!"
How the daily drop works
Each day's challenge is posted in the official Airframe Ultra Discord at 9AM Pacific. That is the trigger for the next 24 hours: the challenge appears, you make the thing, you submit it through Gleam before 8:59AM Pacific the following morning.
The 5 November "Out Now" announcement lists the same eight days as a simple run of categories, which is the version most players will have seen first: Fan Art, Fan Fiction, Cosplay, Combat Clip, Racing Clip, In Game Outfit, Wildcard, Celebration Livestream.
What each challenge actually wants
The 4 November post gives a sentence of guidance per day, and the distinctions matter:
- Fan Art (5 Nov). "Draw your characters, the world, and the frames in your own style." Any subject from the game.
- Fan Fiction (6 Nov). "The most creative story that fits the game's world and lore gets crowned." Lore fit is the criterion, not length.
- Cosplay (7 Nov). "Submit yourself in AFU cosplay." A joke in the post: cosplaying Bandit99 is not an automatic win, because Videocult decides.
- Combat Clips (8 Nov). Arena footage only — "On bike or off, as long as you're in the fighting arenas, it's fair game."
- Racing Clips (9 Nov). Must happen while racing between arenas. The post's examples: fast turns, air braking, and killing someone with a minigun as they are about to take first.
- In-Game Outfit (10 Nov). Your customised character and frame; judged on the stylised combination.
- Wildcard (11 Nov). Anything Airframe-related, including resubmissions from earlier days.
- The Infamy Awards (12 Nov). James and Joar from Videocult hand out the awards on a team livestream.
The raffle is the part most people miss
Every submission across the whole week is also a raffle ticket, separate from the daily prizes. The 12 November livestream draws for smaller items: AFU iron-on patches, posters and T-shirts. That means a losing entry is not a wasted entry — seven days of submissions is seven tickets.
| Daily prize | Raffle |
|---|---|
| One winner per challenge | Drawn from all entries all week |
| Judged by Videocult | Random draw on the stream |
| Custom, one-of-one items | Patches, posters, shirts |
What this event tells you about the game's plans
The prizes are all physical and all custom, which is a small studio spending money on its community rather than on ads. The 31 October devlog previewed the event as one of three things in that month's update, alongside the price and a design roundtable — the team treats community activity as part of the release rather than as marketing garnish.
It also tells you the Discord is where the game's operational communication happens. If you are trying to follow the game's week-to-week state, the challenges drop there at 9AM Pacific daily, and the official bug tracker is at bugs.akuparagames.com/airframe-ultra/bugs — the same link the "Out Now" post gives for bug reports.
If you are entering late
You have until 11 November for a wildcard entry, and the wildcard explicitly accepts resubmissions. If you missed a day, that is the catch-up slot.
The reviews and reception page covers how the game is being received during the same week, and the roadmap page covers what happens after 12 November, which is when the content cadence the team described in October starts to matter.
